J. Alexander P. Cook

Alex Cook heads the Asset Management practice at Conley & Company. Mr. Cook places senior investment, operations and distribution executives for both traditional and alternative asset management clients.

Prior to joining Conley & Company in 2002, Mr. Cook was a member of the Financial Services practice at Korn/Ferry International, based in Boston. Before entering executive search, Mr. Cook worked in the Executive Management Assessment practice in the Boston office of Personnel Decisions International, an organizational and talent management consulting firm. At Personnel Decisions International, Mr. Cook served the financial services community, specializing in competency-based assessment for the development and selection of senior executives.

Mr. Cook holds a BA in psychology from Hobart College and an MA in psychology from Boston College. He is an active member of the Alumni Board of Saint Sebastian’s School in Needham, Mass., and the Boston College Alumni Association. Additionally, Mr. Cook volunteers with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Boston and the Inner City Scholarship fund.
